Can I say something? I love destination weddings!!!
A while back, one of my oldest and dearest friends, Phil, told me he was getting ready to pop the question to Melissa and I was thrilled to hear the news. When I later heard they had settled on Presque Isle in Erie, PA as their wedding location, I was jumping for joy! You see, when I was in college I lived in Erie and spent many an afternoon sitting on Presque Isle’s beaches studying and doing homework. I spent countless afternoons and evenings out there with an old 4x5 field camera practicing and completing projects for my photography degree. I absolutely love that park and was well acquainted with all the awesome photo ops it had to offer, so I was even more excited when I got to call asking me to photograph the wedding. Woohoo!
The big day finally came and Phil & Melissa couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. Perfectly blue skies…big fluffy white clouds. It was awesome and was made even more awesome by the fact that they gave me nearly 2 hours to play and photograph! Hooray!!!
Here are some of my favorites:
Avid rock climbers, this duo wasn’t about to leave any stones unclimbed!
Which means, neither can their photographer! Ack!! Here’s a little behind the scenes evidence of my dedication to getting the shot. LOL!
